When I speak of entrepreneurship here, I do want to speak of entrepreneurship in general, but I am most interested in innovating in the space that The University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School calls “Artistic Enterprise.” 1
This is all fertile ground for research, but also something we already knew. The marketplace is currently correcting for the underpayment of artists and the “starving artist” cliche is being eradicated by the tendency among artists to competently participate in tech-saturated marketing as natives.
I am interested not only in the economic aspect of entrepreneurship and artistic enterprise, but the personal (and even spiritual) dimensions of choosing to incorporate this kind of endeavor into one’s lifestyle, business, and career goals.
